Stroopwaffles are a specialty of the Netherlands and I watched a YouTube video about those before, so I really wanted to try them with my friend. So we decided to make our way to the Albert Cuyp Market, the largest and the most well-known day market in the Netherlands.
I didn't think that it would take a whole year to write the second part of this post. Maybe one reason is that the weather was pretty bad on the actual day of the event and I had to put my thoughts together on how to write this.
Experiencing is the key I studied at Furtwangen University for three semesters and I got to experience a lot. I don't regret my time there and I also don't think that it was a waste of time. I got to know some nice people, I learnt quite a few things and of course I still can make use of the experiences I gained there even after leaving that university.
Searching for a place to fit in My university was located in a small town in the Black Forest. The lectures began in March and when I arrived there, it was still cold and the ground was still covered in snow. Schwenningen is a quiet city with two universities.

Two months ago a friend and I decided spontaneously to go on a day trip to Amsterdam. The last months before that were really busy and exhausting because of exams and essays. A few weeks ago I went out to eat Sushi for the first time in Düsseldorf. I bought some at the Japanese supermarket before, but my friends and I wanted to try out this restaurant once, since our other classmates seem to go there almost every time after finishing exams.
The things you say to me, affect me more than you think I worked in the supermarket until the evening and tried to produce art after that, but I just couldn't. I felt useless, the praise I usually got from other people in school before was now completely meaningless,
Losing the confidence in something you really used to love As I mentioned in a few posts already, I studied International economics before finally deciding to change universities to study Modern Japanese studies. Of course, every time I mention this when I meet new people, they are surprised, since Japanese studies and economics are two entirely different majors.
I noticed, that I don't usually go out to eat waffles. Whenever I eat those, it is always homemade by friends or by myself. However this time two of my friends wanted to check out this waffles store they apparently found a few weeks ago while being lost in Düsseldorf.
