There are just a few days left before this year's Japantag, so after procrastinating on it for months, I thought it would be a good time to finally write a blog post about last year's event. Just before New Year 2018 I made a resolution to finally cosplay Kaonashi or No Face, one of my favorite characters from the movie Spirited Away by Hayao Miyazaki.
I finally had the time to write about this year's Japan Day in Düsseldorf. The blog posts with many photos always take a lot of time, because I have to edit them before I upload any of them and since the fourth semester was a really busy one, I had to wait after my exams before being able to dedicate my time to my blog.
A few weeks ago I went out to eat Sushi for the first time in Düsseldorf. I bought some at the Japanese supermarket before, but my friends and I wanted to try out this restaurant once, since our other classmates seem to go there almost every time after finishing exams.
I noticed, that I don't usually go out to eat waffles. Whenever I eat those, it is always homemade by friends or by myself. However this time two of my friends wanted to check out this waffles store they apparently found a few weeks ago while being lost in Düsseldorf.
This time I am going to write a review again, about a café that I visited with my friend a few months ago. Actually, I went there again a couple days ago because I saw on their FB page that they began selling sakura flavoured cake.
During the vacations I discovered through a website that a new Japanese restaurant has opened at the beginning of this year. Maybe I have to go around more to find more stores to check out. Somehow there is always something new to be discovered.
Now that the freshmen have arrived, I thought I could write an update concerning my university life. I have been studying Japanese and Information Science at university for one year now.
Originally I wanted to write a post about the Japan Day in Düsseldorf, Germany. Unfortunately the day was not made to be documented properly because of different reasons I will tell you about later. That is why I decided to make this post more about our cosplay than the day itself.
A WEEK OF JAPANESE AT HEINRICH HEINE UNIVERSITY – PART II As you can guess already, the course 'Modernes Japan' at the Heinrich Heine University deals with the more modern…
A former fellow student of mine told me it would be interesting to read about my daily life in university. Especially what I learn thorough the week. That is why I decided to tell you a bit about my schedule, so you can see what my week looks like.
